Building these rockets involves the use of superglue and craft knives for the older groups.  Students are instructed in the safe use of both of these.  Superglue solvent is always available.

The rockets are fired electrically from a safe distance using a firing box fitted with a safe/arm key switch.  The arming key is kept attached by a lanyard to one of the Rocket Workshops staff.
